I like this boy in my class and he told me he likes me also. Whenever he sees me he promises to call me and I wait by the phone and he never calls. When I see him in class the next day and ask him what happened he always tells me he forgot. What is up with him? I am getting tired of waiting around for him to call me. What should I do?

Wow – it seems like you are making yourself crazed over this boy! I agree he is absolutely sending you mixed signals – he is saying one thing but doing another. No wonder you are so confused!

This is probably one of the first questions girls ask in our “He Loves Me!” workshop. This is the workshop where a panel of guys come in and answer your questions. It is truly an eye opener!

I will relay the response the guys from our workshop give all the time to this question. First, you need to watch what he does and not what he says. A guy will show you how much he cares about you based on his actions. If his actions do not line up with his words – he is not being honest with you. Period. Telling you he will call you and not doing it repeatedly is bad enough but telling you he forgot! Pumpkin – you need to move on. If he was really in to you and really wanted to get to know you better – he would not “forget” to tell you. Promising to call you when he knows he will not is his cowardly way of avoiding a scene with you. Basically telling you what you want to hear to get you off his back!

So there you have it – the sad truth. I want you forget about this guy and move on! I know you are smart, funny, and beautiful so walk in confidence and hold your head high. As my Mom told me – never beg anyone to be your friend! The next time you see him give him a pretty smile, say hello and keep it moving!
